Joyner Edmundson

Joyner provides clients long-term investment and financial advice tailored to their unique needs. Clients benefit from his 25 years of investment experience, which includes positions in portfolio management, fixed income, investment banking, and public accounting. Joyner recently earned his Certificate in ESG Investing from the CFA Society of the United Kingdom, to better serve clients who desire portfolios integrated with environmental, social, and governance (ESG) factors.

Joyner graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill with honors in economics and a master of accounting. He earned an MBA with distinction from Wake Forest University in 1998. Before joining Salem, Joyner was a portfolio manager at Abbot Downing, providing wealth management services to ultra-high net worth families for 11 years. He became a Certified Public Accountant in 1994 and earned the Chartered Financial Analyst designation in 1999. He currently serves on the board of CFA Society North Carolina, an association of over 1,300 investment professionals. Joyner is an active volunteer in the community and currently serves as chairman of his church’s investment committee.
